Once the system?s defrosted you can re-arrange the food so that the oldest items are on top, ready to use.

Finally, find a chest freezer that has adjustable settings and wheels! The wheels allow you to decrease the impact of the floor space these use (i.e. you can push it out of the way). Additionally, the top of your chest freezer becomes a usable countertop on a temporary basis so long as you don?t mind re-arranging things when you need to access it.
