Garden Sprinklers
Sprinkler systems help keep your lawn’s moisture at the proper levels, but there are a wide variety of systems out there from which to choose. The cheapest by far is simply converting your hose into a sprinkler. In this case, you need to keep moving the hose to different locations, and you won’t be really utilizing water as effectively as you might want, but it will get the job done.
People who have to be concerned about water usage have begun looking into more permanent solutions that are placed under the ground in the lawn. These can be manual, so you can turn them on and off when desired, or they can be automatic and on timers. The former option is going to be friendlier on your budget.

Sprinklers systems are imperative in hot climates
As you lay out a watering system, you have to do it in zones. No home has enough water pressure to water a whole lawn at once. So instead, the permanent sprinkler has a network where water goes to one area at a time, for a set amount of time. Within that lay out, you may want to consider pop up sprinkler heads that easily clear grass that hasn’t been mowed, a spray system for small spaces needing plenty of water, misting heads for even watering, rotary heads that clear a good distance, which is nice for larger lawns, or a mixture that addresses both gardens and grass alike.
Now many you reading this are thinking – I want a landscape professional to make those decisions! That’s fine. In fact it may save you money in the long haul because these people know how to lay out a sprinkler effectively (changes afterward are very costly). Even so, its nice to know what the professionals are talking about when they’re offering you zone designs and sprinkler head options.
