Whole bean coffee retains its freshness for about two weeks. Ground coffee begins loosing oil and flavor after only 2 days. This means that having your own coffee grinder provides you with the heartiest tasting beverage possible at home without having to stop at a coffee shop. Better still, unless you want espresso or cappuccino you can get a nice coffee grinder for the cost of four cups of coffee (£10.00), however some, which grind more specialty coffees may cost as much as £50 or more.

The longer you keep it on, the smaller the grind of your coffee. This is a perfectly acceptable machine for drip coffee makers, but be aware that over-grinding my create heat that burns the grinds. You will not be able to make espresso with a blade grinder.
